I just got it today. I must say that im not using it for paintball for starters. I practice for the SCA and was going to use it for armor padding. Essentially, in paintball it should be a good thing to have, it will at least take the sting off the paintballs. It was thinner than I anticipated. The plates on it were semi flexible plastic that were no thicker than a 1/4 of an inch. I mean, its very flexible, but won't serve an extreme importance in my SCA fights. It was a little big even for me, girth that is. I had at least an extra 6 inches in the chest so it should support up to 43 inch chest people. It breaths EXTREMELY well. So eventhough I can't use it too much for padding, it will at least keep the heat down from the other armor I wear. For paintballers, this item is perfect, for me, it will serve no greater purpose than to keep my chainmaille from chaiffing.

This was bought for my 11 year old son and it works great. It's a little big for him, but he'll grow into it. He is very happy with the way it works.
